Joint conference of the Society for Free Radical Research - Europe and the
When: September 2-4, 2015
Where: University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany
As Chairman of the Joint Meeting of the Society for Free Radical Research - Europe (SFRR-E) and the Society of Nutrition and Food Science (SNFS), I have the pleasure of welcoming you to the conference Redox Biology Meets Nutrition at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart.
The meeting will, in large parts, take place at the baroque Hohenheim Palace, which was built in 1782 by Duke Karl Eugen of Württemberg, and is now the main building of the University of Hohenheim (founded in 1818). The palace is surrounded by historical parklands and botanical gardens, which I invite you to explore during the breaks for recreation.
The conference is preceded by the 2nd Vitamin E Satellite Symposium and features an exciting scientific program composed of six oral sessions, five symposia, an Early Career Investigators Symposium, and poster sessions with drinks in a friendly atmosphere. I am particularly pleased that we have such renowned researchers as Professor Barry Halliwell, who will present the SNFS Advances in Nutrition Research Lecture, and Professor Randal Kaufmann, presenting the SFRR-E Clinical Research Lecture, among the many (and in fact too many to name all here) distinguished scientists giving cutting-edge award and plenary lectures at the conference.
I warmly welcome you to engage in stimulating and fruitful scientific discussions at this joint conference of SFRR-E and SNFS and hope you will enjoy not only the outstanding scientific program, but also the tasty local foods and beverages offered in Stuttgart and at the Stuttgart Wine Festival “Weindorf”.
